I haven’t slept much lately I never had much rhythm Circadian or otherwise Isn’t it wrong for a living thing to prefer the night The night isn’t dark here though Not as foreboding as it once was in ages past It’s teeth lost to mans relentless desire Neon excites the mist Its buzzing light washes over everything Even defeating the stars Alls quiet in the worlds shadow People are sleeping on their problems The need for rest overcoming even the most troubled of minds There are others like me Tirelessly preparing the city for dawn We didn’t have to experience today The others will capture tomorrow for us |

hey Zall...night owl serenity here-- and yes...oh YES...I love the nighttime---it's like during the day, there's this psychic buzz of worry that I can FEEL...and then? I can feel my little piece of the world going to sleep, and I swear, it's as though an invisable foot is removed from my chest...you captured that enormous sense of relief in this piece. Enjoyed much. (obviously, grinning) I am off to wait for midnight, once again. Thanks for the read and the comradery. |

dear Zall, for most of human history, i guess, at least until edison came along, night-time was a scary and dangerous place. i'm glad to live in a time when that is no longer true! Annika :- |

Aaron, Throw me some woods and a moonlit night, maybe some rain? And I will be at peace. Mike |

Zall Wrote a poem one time depicting how the night hours seem to "AWAKEN" some of us. I know that there are times I just seem to be bouncing off the stars myself!!! This was a perfect way for me to read tonight, since I am in one of those "night moods". Was a wonderful read for my frame of mind and so wonderfully written. Thanks!!!!! Sleep well.....yeah right!!!! |

We cant waste a third of our lives asleep now can we? Night for me has always been a special time for me, where I can look at the world from a different perspective. Thank, you all for your kind comments. Aaron Zall |
