he sets pen and paper down
and leaves the house
sits in the car for a minute
before deliberately turning the key
he drives
to the paint store
looking
looking
a man asks if help is needed
he shows the man his sample
a gallon please
with funny look
the man returns with the paint
he thanks him
pays
and drives home
at home he searches for his favorite brush
and paints the walls red
