Destiny led me to seek The soul I knew was there Yours created just for me And mine, just for you.... Yet, no matter how I tried I just could not touch destiny Yet, I would long for him I daily sensed his presence As though I already knew him? And he knew me? Yet strangely, eluded me... That day I first laid eyes on YOU My heart leaped with great joy!! A lifetime of love would begin Somehow, there were unspoken words Utterances so real between two lovers Who had never met face to face, yet? But heart to heart, we had always known This day would come... For our fire would burn, without quenching For that true sought after ONE! You see we both were looking, one in the same We "knew", there called deep soul Too another deep soul! Searching for the promise One that would set us free That would look deep into our core Teach our heart, to truly see What we were grasping while missing And how good it could be! A love between a man and woman A crystal clear reality! How we hungered so, until we were starved And could no longer live in this poverty we felt It lead me to you, from a desperate lovers prayer Living without my soul mate, I could no longer in this life bare Then you looked at me intensely Searching my soul with your "eyes of green" My every "I love you's" I would passionately mean With heart felt screams You owned my soul now And my heart would belong to only you You would claim it as your dream Love can really be all we thought The way it felt right, and should seem I would adore you with my all Beckon your every call This love.... Without any walls! Yes.....from this day forward That is you and me! Friends.... Lovers.... Soul mates for eternity! My dream come true in you My heart closed out all blue...... Wow, this really offers hope to all of the other darknesses we put into prose here. This was a great change of pace for me to read, and it would seem to me that you have already found "it". Regardless, this was very upbeat and for someone who had totally given up on romance, this actually gave me something to look forward to. Those words are such a compliment coming from "the sweetest lady herself" in DP!!! firejerm...hey you...I have been watching your poetry lately. I must say, you are one of my favorite poets on here. I think you write incredible poetry with such deep soul put into it. Thank you and I am glad it lifted you a bit. I know you have been going through a rough time ....believe me, I understand how much that hurts. |
