An older one.

By the snowy window
She draws on her long, black gloves by the snowy window,
pulling darkness to darkness.
I'm floating in bed, the covers strangely neat and tucked.
If she smiles right now, I will be destroyed.

I'm waiting for her to say something, anything --
about faith, about trust, about love.
She simply works on her boots, the zippers
shining like silver miniature moons.

God, I hate you.
Please don't go.
All that comes out is a sigh in hope
that she will pass me anything at all.

Great drama, squirell dude.

You're killin' me. Can't keep up with the hyper-prolific rodent.

~Ed

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

Dragon Mistress, thanks. Do the Rolling Stones know you're using their logo?

Wranx, I think I write to keep from being depressed sometimes. I must have a lot of near-misses!

Maria,

Brian, the strange thing is I read this response of yours right after reading Serenity's "My Eyes." Mirror, mirror...

Lori, cool, thanks for reminding me where I got this idea from! *kiss* Love y'.
