We wrote a book together tonight
You and I
All for convenience's sake
In my lack of knowledge of
How to elsewise communicate with
You lacking sound's ability
And yet, in meeting first time
With hopes of more than words
You wanted only to "hear"
Of my troubles with the others of my heart
And so I scribbled
After all was not said, but done
You became a true friend
Not one I sought for physical frolic
(Which is why I begged your presence)
But one that "listened" better than
Most that take for granted the ability
And you turned me back to face my fear
Of want that I attempted to have you
Momentarily help me not to hear
I now know when the cliche' is uttered
Without your audible knowledge
That you know better than I and most
"Love knows no boundaries."
And so after you left,
I learned two somethings new:
More about the humanism of all
And how to sign "Thank you"
To one whom heard me best.

I could only wish to be able to use
words put together in this way
I was actually there with you
Penning your novella of chat
And you turned it around in praise
So eloquently.
Enjoyed!
Hope you are fairing well
after your losses of late!

Every now and then, You'll meet a person like this, as you spin and whirl through hell and gone. They are treasures.

Echoing News_From_Nowheres' well wishes

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

If you speak...
I will listen
absorb
and decipher...

and this my dear Chris?
"I now know when the cliche' is uttered
Without your audible knowledge
That you know better than I and most
"Love knows no boundaries."

(won't say how happy I am to hear this uttered of you)

smiles...

Me thinks you've been speakin' ta someone, D'...lol And me also thinks sound advice to stop looking so hard for that which is already there, and beggin'.
Best interest at heart, and well received. Thanks to all for your replies. I am surviving the loss of soul mate friends, which is all I can do.
