Forms of self-induced torture: (The following lines are fictional... any similarities to your life are strictly coincidental) ****************************************** Untying a problem, then chewing its string, ignoring the pain indigestion will bring. Embedding new worries in grooves of your mind, discarding the aura that peace could align. Refusing to feast on a rapturous slice, when guilt-riding whispers say crumbs will suffice. Avoiding the blueprints when building a wall, preferring the chance to complain when it falls. Rejecting a compliment, blushing with shame, afraid of the climb to an unworthy fame. Dismissing the hope in a positive song, determined to prove something's bound to go wrong! ********************** P.S. Have a great day! GREAT one! Good study on lost chances, near misses and great potential for regrets in later life. Love your underlying sense of humour and irony. Keep it up! Thanks, Bee. |

Thanks Mags - isn't it ridiculous, sometimes we can accept criticism more readily than compliments! Thanks for stopping in, Bee - looking forward to reading more of your work! Lary [This message has been edited by laryalee (edited 02-10-2001).] |
