I was there dressed in black inside & out dancing on edges holding your hands you were so hansome your smile tucked neatly between smirk & sincere eyes carefully detailing my movements drinking night wine We paint the skies psychodelic catching a high on the effects until heavy lids force hallucinations into hibernation I dreamed you lips set on devour until the inferno forced my awakening you lie here, oblivious lost in reveries while I broil in conflict acutely aware of subtle changes Light falls like an sharpened ax separating your night from my day you see comraderie ending I see a pyramid of disaster on the horizon I've shed darkness, the color of lovers & picked up a torture stake embracing light I can only hope that the memory of your smile tucked neatly between a smirk & sincerity as you sip night wine will fade with this longing... ~Willow~ |

Welcome, Willow, To PiP and the "dark" Forum. You have a nice pen, I enjoyed. I think You'll like it here. "I can only hope that the memory of your smile tucked neatly between a smirk & sincerity as you sip night wine will fade with this longing..." Good stuff, this. ~wranx |

I especially like: "I dreamed you lips set on devour until the inferno forced my awakening" It's frightening how desires can blind us to the "obvious"... Anyway, I loved the poem- very dark, very sexy. |
