Gloom Room By WhiteKnight Smoke filled room, Music, of gloom. People waiting, Contemplating, Life, the wife, Nothing but strife. Gloom, doom, Smoke filled room, Having a drink at first, Then another, Trying, to remember, To forget. Why hasn’t it happened yet? Remembering our past, Never letting go, It slipped away so fast, How was I to know, That it was to be so? Drinking another, Trying to forget the other, Life I had. The darkness of this place, Helps to hide my face, So no one can see my fears, No one can see the tears. Across the gloom, I see her standing there, I see her smile, I know that for a while, She will make me forget, But this hasn’t happened yet. |

A sad and lonely cry, with a nicely-phrased atmosphere... Effectively done! Lary |
