Wow ! It's definitely been a long time since I've been able to post anything on here - writers block has decided to become an almost constant companion but this challenge caught my attention and I was able to sneak a poem past the muse

LOL

I wonder how many
Trees I've killed
Writing these words-
My own dark journals

These memories that captivate
Drawing me in with raw emotion
Scrawled on sheafs of paper
Lined with vermillion regret

I wonder how many
Tears I've shed
Living these emotions-
My own silent hell

This pain and agony
Entwined into the fabric of my life
Inscribed upon my soul
In black permanent marker

I wonder how many
Times I've read
These words from my heart-
My deepest fears and regrets

Scouring them for answers
Trying to read between the lines
Certain they somehow hold the key
As I once again become a prisoner

...of my own thoughts.

i love this poem and i love the whole part above too! it was just beautiful and i hope to read more of your poetry soon.

life may just take a while but i guess heaven's worth the wait
