The Usual Tale ----- Sitting in a dystopia Drinking the wine I knew you once When we were in love But it happened so fast Still I could simle A sign of hope For me in these dark times A glimpse at what could be true And then it was over No more pain, hope, forgiveness Nothing dwelled on me I was alone again Unhappy And I tried to relive it Many times No use, I had to abandon So I slept the infernal sleep I gave up on time And I was sitting in a dystopia Drinking the wine |

i was going to say this sounds like the usual story of heartbreak...but then i think you knew that. not the usual wording. dystopia is one of those words that you don't get to hear often. i'd like to bring it back. thoroughly enjoyable poem. it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown |
