Why you? Today? I found your letters today I have always loved your poems Why you? Today? We were such a mess for each other We hurt each other deeply Trying to figure out where we were going Crashed into each other Abused each other Damaged ourselves A tornado in the room Of emotions passions words fire Love, yes there was love… We were searching for it Thought we could be soul mates… We wanted a soul mate desperately That’s how we lived…desperately… Fire and ice…highs and lows The extremes, a miracle we survived Today I read your poems Your words a comfort Why you? Today? Turbulent as we were We made wild choices created chaos Passion for living, we fought to find it You, in a moment of quiet Separate from me Made a discovery, found who you were I was angry, so offended I was nasty, brutal, harsh All the things I hate about myself I trashed you abused you more Tried so hard to destroy The person you had found It’s been five years I found your letters today Reading you words...wishing Why you? Today? Is it the discovery you made That brings me closer? I am searching for me Seeking to find? Or accept the truth of who I am? I have no right to ask There is no reason you would Even give me a thought Can you tell me, please? How you found yourself? Accepted who you are? Why you? Today? Sitting here reading your poems Wishing you happiness Quietly seeking, In the only way I know Words, words, words Live lightening crashes Solitary moments Seeking searching Why you? Today? "That’s how we lived…desperately… Fire and ice…highs and lows The extremes, a miracle we survived" beautiful! i would have commented earlier but i didn't read this poem until now. it was wonderful though and i loved it. i understand it completely and the emotions you show are so clear even though you use few words to describe them. i loved this one and it is truly one of my favorites written by you. please, keep writing. life may just take a while but i guess heaven's worth the wait |

I truly "felt" this one, from beginning to end. Incredible, and beautiful. |

Admittedly beautiful, wrenching, you make this seem an easy task, this rueful write. I hope that you (and I) find the (y)ourselves that we seek. ~wranx I have great faith in Humanity...It's just most of the Humans, I'm not too keen on. E.F.Rose |

You know...I'm speechless, so I'll just give this a bump. I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement. |

I loved the different style of this one, WIWG. A good flowing piece with an excellent approach. "So give life to your dreams, for there lies your survival, and cast your heart beyond those faded scenes, and I'll bring you through the storm; yes, |
