Summer becomes cold, and a chill fills up these lungs. A little part of my soul dies, and flinches at what I've become. You're not hearing any of this, as the wind combs your wild hair. And I'm stuck trembling here, as you're laughing out there. When did this become so real? I don't remember this before. The darkness leaves its whispers, and asks if I want some more. Because I hate this trembling shadow, the image of what I am. I hate the fact that I breathe this dark air, I hate the frailty of my hand. And silence creeps into my screams, leaving me more tormented than I was. You try to overcome this, leaving what is left for the vultures cirlcing above. I don't doubt your exit, or the facts which make me cry. But these birds are eating at my soul, and I'm too taunted to try. |

New here?? Great poem, I really liked it. I'm getting ready to read your other one, now. Continue sharing... -Sara "Life is a waterfall, we're 1 in the river and we're 1 again after the fall." |
