I wrote this particular poem last night when I had a surge of emotion surging through myself. I can relate to this. This is my second poem I have written, I was just wondering what you thought? Tides of Time- 7-10-2002 The Tides of time The rigor the sweat All will pass all promises met As the pendulum swings what new days may bring The tides of time begin to sing Until tomorrow more pain more sorrow What woes may arise in such horrible hours But in the end the tides recede And dreams are met with satisfaction indeed [This message has been edited by samonapj (07-10-2002 05:28 PM).] |

Hey Amon A great, great piece here, mate. I enjoyed it immenseley. It's a powerful look at the passing of time, of life with sorrow and sadness, hopes dashed and hopes realized. Dealing with the ups, all the while dealing with the lows. You handeled that well, my friend. ~Titus As I'm out there, walking, searching, for myself, for you.... won't you join me? Let's walk this journey together. |

Thank you for the motivation, unfortunately I find that I write best when I have an overflow of emotion (like many poets). It isn't me writing, it is my feelings depicted in words. Nonetheless that won't stop me from trying, I am also working on a book to write, a Kurt Vonnegut style esqe book. Thanks for the comments! |
