I have pondered the meaning of my life been disappointed with my conclusions I have balanced all the joy and strife realized my own delusions I have been in love with love but burnt by the fires of passion I have looked for hope from up above yet only seen more dismal signs the sky gray and ashen I have danced on the clouds of naive satisfaction tripping on the truth I have saw the consequences of my own inaction realize my conjecture is moot I have feared for my future and regretted my past looking for some peace I have been in first and stuck in last still I feel at ease I have done many things some great most small I have found circumstance, not size is most important of them all for what good is a man without a caring soul nothing but emptiness, a void, a never-ending hole |
