-Not Likely- we were young once and what did we need sugar sugar sugar we'd beg and plead we were young once and what did we want older older older we couldn't wait we were working once and wondered what if what if what if we were older and wished younger younger younger we were retired and wondered so tired so retired so tired we were standing before our heaven what's this what's this can't it wait J.L Koehler [This message has been edited by carolinadreams (02-24-2002 02:44 AM).] |

the thing that got to me the most about this one, my friend, is the title. most poignant in its lack of sure...as an answer. interesting poem. i think heaven, being bound by no time, exists without the restraints of wait. the beautiful place has my brother, and yet i feel the waiting is only a burden on my part. i'll be reunited soon enough, i am sure, but i for one hope waiting is for me to do, as i feel a renewed hope that there's much for me to do, feel and learn here before trotting happily there. good piece, carolinadreams. thought provoking for me at least. |
