Today I let go of the wind Today I let go of you my friend Too many sorrows I felt fleeting past Too many tomorrow’s that I could not grasp. It passed me by so many times. Teasing my memories and teasing my mind. I held it fondly for way to long, after our splendid storm was gone. My mind was swirling, around with the leaves Getting lost with each little breeze. Now winter is here and as the north winds blow I have finally found a direction to go. To hold my anchor firm on the ground. and Never again get tossed around. So blow past me the cold cutting wind, I say one last goodbye to you my friend My head held high, as I glance around. The wind is silent, it makes no sound. I was a fool to think I could grasp it, you know Bring on the winter and the new fallen snow. Im ready for rebirth and Im letting you go 10/2000 Jen |

Letting go is hard but sometimes it is necessary. Nice writing. "What makes letting go hard isn't losing what you had, but losing the dream of what could have been." |
