From the farthest reaches Of time and space Cold is the wind That blows upon me Whilst my battered shield Offers little resistance To the onslaught of terror Waged through the night As lifelessly I lie In this tattered empty bed The hunger pangs Of a love starved soul Echo mercilessly Throughout my body Conveying my mind To sheer insanity Lost I am The dreamer without a cause Forced to find comfort Huddled in the darkest corners of existence Weeping tears Only I can see Cold and alone There I be With no one to come And rescue me From the cruelest of visions That I see And the madding fate That's meant for me G. Very well written. A little sad and cold, but well expressed! Mags Don't cry because it's over: smile because it happened. |
