Every square inch of me screams a need to be with you
to gaze into your eyes and lose myself in your ocean of blue
the way my heart beats, flutters embraced by agony

mind racing with my body
my body racing with my mind
each trying to comprehend the feelings awakened inside
fingers tracing the air where your chest should be
running the length of your body with my eyes

just knowing you're there, feeling the lightening before it strikes, the day will come when i hold you and all my dreams will become reality

but for now, i walk alone day in and day out
shuffling my feet, souls of my shoes worn at an angle, morse code for i miss you...
