Lost in thought

Listen the shatter and the breaking of my mind
Hear the thoughts just tremble,
See temptation leading blind.
Following in bitterness, before they face defeat.
Outraging in the silence
Of a fading armies fleet.
Now wishing to be whole again, the pieces all adrift.
Tape and glue are hopeless,
For something such as this.
I think, I know, I lost it: the hope that I once held
For now this silence in me
Has all but been expelled.
Theres a hammering and pounding all that is within
And so when I try my hardest;
All I see is my own sin.
I haven’t been defeated, I won’t let it be that way.
But I sure would like to give up,
And flee this wretched day

- And so it was that time stood still -
