DISTRUST Lies shattered on the floor A thousand, twinkling points of light Reminds me of sweet before, of dainty painted delight And all around, orchids and roses, are withering and dying With oblivious remembrance, of thy lovely palm Indeed a sight, for mournful eyes Malignant despair beckons,- I sigh, a heartfelt wish But nor you, nor I, can turn the tide Trust, thy name be broken From day came night, and darkness bred Of fall came winter, and solitude's ahead |

"From day came night, and darkness bred..." I love that! Very well written, I love the style. Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are master of your fate and captain of your soul. |

This poem is very good. Simply excellent! I find myself reading it again We are born into this world alone, and we will die alone. It is what we do between those times that matters. This is where we leave our mark. |
