At first I missed you too much to explain, Three nights when all I did was listen to The Cure and cry, Smoking cigatettes and starring at the moon, Waiting for a falling star so i could wish for you, Then slowly I began to enjoy my nothiing, Sleeping soundly without a sencond thought, Not wanting anything but my silence, Forgetting what it was like to have you near me, When I realized you were coming home soon, For a moment I was happy beyond words, But I couldn't remember why I missed you, All I could think was how easy noting had become, Now you will be home tomorrow afternoon, And I don't even care anymore, I know that nothing will ever be the same, You left and I found myself again, Now I finally know how you always felt, When I would have to go away, The lonliness and the nothingness that is yourself, And how can I forgive myself for that? "I'll build a wall if we can keep them on the other side"-NIN |
