My sweet Sherrie What have you done to me We met what seems a lifetime ago You sauntered right in to where only emptiness had blossomed We conversed in easy tones while not really saying much Never in my life had I fell in love so quick and so much Oh my sweet Sherrie The goddess from the barren prairie When you walked in I lost my mind What you did to me, my sweet Sherrie With my mind you were quite contrary When you touched my hand the world went away I wish now I had went away But together we stayed What a week we had But now the memories just make me sad For I have learned that it turned bad For now I know that in this world We shall not touch again until the next world Two years ago, you went away to another world Leaving me here alone to face my private hell My sweet Sherrie, You were my southern bell Since I know that you didn’t tell How was I to know what had happened to you You held your silence and off you flew To a place where you will never be blue One day soon I shall join you up past the stars I know now why every time it rained The scent of you would drive me insane For it was my sweet Sherrie’s tears that were falling In the wind I can hear you gently calling Catch me once more darling for I am falling Just like you did when you were mine Back then our world was fine But since then I have walked the line Cause no one could compare To my sweet little Sherrie |

Perhaps you did meet a lifetime ago. grin...several times. A sad, but sweet read. Thank you. |
