Alone with the Moon

Yes of course I wanted to make love to you.
And I surely would have if you wanted me to.

I didn't realize our relationship would end so fast.
It was my hope that I could find a love that would last.

Surely you know that I would never use you.
It was not my intention to so quickly lose you.

So now I know the fate of one that falls in love too soon
as I spend my evenings in agony all alone with the moon.

Wonderful James ~ Exellent decription of a lost love here... I've been there... Just keep your head up and know that there IS some special someone out there just for you.

Poignant...but there will be nights when the memories get you through. As a moon "devotee", I particularly enjoyed this glance into your thoughts. I particulary like the symbolism of the moon...she waxes and wanes and reigns in glory again...just like us!
