This is a relativly new poem of mine and I have been quite happy lately due to a certain somone named Bergundy...But I have been warned/instructed/advised whatever by the moderators that the suicidal overtones of my work are not going to be accepted and they wont be tolerated much longer. I Doubt I will be staying here that much longer then. Anyways I would just like to clear up any confusion, I do not believe in suicide. It is not the way to go, no matter what happens in your life, you can still say you have one. Death is unescapable but suicide can be stopped. If you know someone who is suicidal get help for them even if it means jeopardizing your friendship. I have been suicidal before and weather I will be again I don't know. But I do not mean for my works to reflect that, I simply meant for them to show I want out of this life, without dying. anyways I hope this makes the moderaters happy...here is the actual poem.. The sun making it's journey across the sky But in reality it's this planet that will actually fly The day grows brighter by the hour In the darkness it's enemies cower And as the sun realizes the journey is at it's end Still his place in the sky he tries to defend But uprises the moon rested for battle Bringing with it the stars like a stampede of cattle The moon so small gains in power As the sun begins to weaken by the hour The battle rages on until just before night But nothing lasts forever not even this fight The sky is stained with the blood of the sun not quite red But even after losing the battle the sun is not quite dead He will rise again to meet the same fate But that will be tomorrow...a whole new date THIS IS JUST A SUNSET NO SUICIDE HERE >¶Øʆ< [This message has been edited by Poet on Acid (edited 02-10-2001).] |

Wonderful poem. I know exactly what you're saying...and I'm glad you're not suicidal anymore. The fight makes us stronger and wiser. I don't think that's true for me though. lol Anyway, keep'em coming. I am no one if not myself. Angel of Darkness |

Quite lovely! As are all of your works, POA. You are very beloved around here, it's just tough for moderators to pinpoint what is suicidal and what isn't. Thus is poetry. i could probably claim that ~any~ poem was suicidal, and because it is a poem, you would not be able to argue. Still, I do agree that they should limit it to ~direct~ reference to suicidal intent or action, as opposed to what could possibly be interpereted as that. I really do hope you stick around, man. You are quite the legend around here already. -Allan We used to hate people, now we just make fun of them. It's more effective that way. --KMFDM |

This was really good. I understand that these moderators can be a pain sometimes... but we gotta listen to the rules. You never know if a 10 year old is reading and questioning it. However, I hope you don't leave here! xoxo Jenn "I'm a big, big, girl, in a big, big world, it's not a big, big thing if you leave me, but I do feel, that I will miss you much..."
