This was probaly the most painful experience in my life. due to the fact it had to do with my parents.  i know its long...

The kitchen table during the inbetween
of supper and dessert, the anger simmers

"I don't fail on purpose, daddy!"

Gaby please shut up I cant take your
skrieking tonight, cant you stop
my own inner words seem silly and confusing

"And you Regina, why couldnt you hand in your
poetry assignment on time, 30 days late!"

oh man why can't i live in this house with
just one night of quiet

"Look at her goes in one ear and flys out
the next, idiot!"

tears burn at the souls, knots forms in my
stomach, please dont hit me, I pray, I wish

"Victor! Stop yelling. Regina your 3/4 under
the water almost dead"

leave me, alone stop hurting me, I cant
handle this anymore, no words are being
formed, they're right im stupid,useless,
worthless

".....fluke, she chokes on everything,
never has she ever completed one goddamn
thing in her life, the debate was a fluke"

I hate you too father dearest, you lie
you don't love me, you think I've hurt
look how you've hurt me
I can't focus on the conversation
going on around me anymore

"dont ask her anything Natania, she doesn't
know anything, stupid child she is"

the pain is too much to control
tears run down my cheeks
stinging acid burns down my face

"Victor!! she is intelligent"
"how do we know, shes nothing"
"youre right"

please someone come save me where is
a friend when I need you, i need your support

"you make me angry, I want nothing to do with
you regina, you dont even deserve that name"

Oh please no, this battle inner and outer
are getting too hard, friend come save
me please!

"I hate you too, I want nothing to do with
either of you"

I storm out of the kitchen my kilt swishing

"GET BACK HERE!!!NOW!"

this war is gonna ruin me I have to leave
the door closes, spring air greets me
eyes swollen, body aching
I walk away

Regina

Regina, I'm going to tell you something. You are not alone. We're all here to support you, me included, because I've had very, VERY similar situations occur in my own home. It isn't right, it isn't fair...but people like you and me have to learn to rise above their stupidity and their ignorance. Okay? *hugs* write it away...
  Love always, Carly

i can't really say anything about your poem, it is all about pain, pain that i can share, but i just hope that for the most part that everything might be ok someday and i hope that pain the we suffer will someday not be used on our own kids..live and learn,

Ina,
She said it best...and she meant it.
We are all here for you.
Its one big family.
The poem was good, tough to read though.  Pain is tough, i know what you mean, and there are people in this community that face similar problems, and are more then willing to talk to you about them
We are love each other.
Its Great here, you learn to love each other.
See you later for now, hope the best to you.

I know how it feels to hurt like this sweetie, and don't ever think that you're alone because we're all here to give our support. send me an email if you ever need to talk and thank you for sharing something so personal.

Hey... I liked the poem, it was very emotional.  You know where to find me if you need to talk.

Regina, I know how you are feeling. Heck, my parents were going to kick me out, just because I am a smartass and they were fed up, I got out before they could though.Do whatever you can to prove them wrong. You are not dumb or stupid as they were saying, you couldn't write how you do, if you were. All I can say is try to work things out with them because everyone needs their parents, no matter how much they think they don't. Good luck and keep writing, cause it takes the edge off the pain.

I'm not personally aqquainted with you Regina and I'm not going to pretend that I am, but I definitely understand your pain in this poem. My parents, especially my mom, does the same thing. She calls me names and things that I can't even repeat here. My dad has a very, very violent temper. Although you don't really know me, if you want to talk I'll listen. I'd be more than happy to.

Excellent poem, Regina. Keep writing.

I had a dream once that I could fly and I laughed at everyone and kicked them in the back of the head because they couldn't fly too.

Wow, Regina.  This poem is very emotional, and I can't imagine how much it hurt you to share it with us.  I'm glad you did, it's very well written...
The pain in this piece is so powerful.  I'm so sorry you have to go through this.  I'm not going to say I know how you feel because I don't.  But you're never alone... You have so many people in Passions that care about you, and would love to talk to you if you need someone to talk to.  It's horrible that you have to go through something like this, because no one on this Earth ever will or ever has deserved it.. but learning how to deal with the pain is half the battle.
Please keep writing, it helps..

Very sad Regi. If you need to talk to somebody I'm here for you *hugs*

I know exactly what you are going through, My parents are the same way. i know it is hard to live in hell everyday but we make it somehow. keep on writing you thoughts down. it helps, trust me. they may never see how they hurt you but at least you can get the pain out and not have it build up til you explode. i did that. if you ever need anyone to talk to ever, i don't care what for, you can always write me. GREAT poem!!!

lots of love, dana
