He wakes up happy and lovely, alert of all things around him. His father is sound to sleep with a woman who is not his mother. He yank's at Dad to make breakfast, but he's to out of it to listen. He goes back to his bedroom cries, because he knows mom is not there. He plays his playstation to be happy and wins, but there's no one there to cheer him on. He dreams of being with mom, but only on certain days. He has two homes to live at, but prefers only one. He knows they both love him. but only on "their" days. He yearns for love and a family. But he has two families. He's forced to stay with Daddy But know's he will see mom soon. |

Divorce is a very difficult thing to deal with and has incredibly long lasting effects on the children it effects. Thank you for sharing this, keep writing and posting. Sometimes, the things that go unsaid are the only things worth hearing. |

You expressed this perfectly. Wow, I absolutely loved this poem. It's so heart breaking and sad. You did quite well on this one. ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Very sad poem... I like the way it's filled with emotion. Wow.. I don't know what this is like, but it sounds like a hard thing. Very nicely done. --Marie It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. |
