Old Anger In the grocery store checkout my five-year-old son plays a game of move the can from one side of the rubber divider to the other. An elderly woman behind him finds this annoying, grabs his hand, places the can back on our side. The cashier's mouth moves, silent words blocked by the roar of rage. I don’t tell the old ***** off, I can’t speak. The line lengthens, the cashier demands his cash I want her wrinkled neck. Years later - she still stalks my sleep, I tell her off, have her arrested, run her down with my car but she just won’t die. © 2001 Corinne Bailey |

Corrine, you need a new dream! One of these days you might be the ol' ***** in that dream! Aside from that, I do like dream poetry, wish I could do more of it. Do some more, ok? Krawdad |

I think the hardest thing to forgive, for a parent, is an insult or assault on one of our children. It won't be easy to do, I know, boy, do I know, but when you do is when the nightmare will end. Great expression Corinne! Denise |
