She Needs Our Help By: Noah Eaton 1/23/01 It trawls Her tapestry of ocean floors It spits oil upon Her majestic shores It pollutes Her lakes and rivers with sewage and fertilizers She cries for mercy, a desperate cry that they ignore It fishs more than there are fish themselves It drains Her wetlands and affect our health It builds across almost all of Her fruitful grasslands It has choked Her and stained Her botanical hands Such destruction no other than the name of Pain With a breath of smog and unrelentless drool of acid rain That the disciples who worship the dollar bill praise in misunderstanding Hammurabication is their language; a dollar for a dollar, an acre for an acre Until one day, they realize what they’ve done and they feel a lot guiltier As they hear Her cry, as they see Her beautiful world falling It kills Her friends, taints Her water with pesticides It irrigates Her soil and fills Her atmosphere with carbon monoxide It degradates Her soil and destroys crops Whether it’s savannas, forests, deserts, or the tundra It scares Her beautiful friends away, never to return again As it sets fire to their homes, failing to understand How they should be thankful for what they have Please leave them alone, nature is their land How beautiful it was yesterday and every day before A powerful mighty greenthumb that just isn’t magical anymore Frozen icy cold in the petrified breath of selfishness Wouldn’t it be sad if you slept in the evergreen forests at night And you wake up in the morning, oil fields surround you at first sight She never deserved any of this Our precious little world is in trouble, but it’s not yet doomed As long as we all help our beloved Mother Nature now or soon Only you and me can prevent forest fires, but we can help so much more Recycle, conserve energy, pick up litter, every simple chore I for one am a pawn, a Neolithic hippee striving to do my part in helping Her We for a team can go even further, protecting nature with flower power Protect the environment, save this planet Earth You can make a difference, we all know what is right Tell your children, friends and family while there’s still time To protect our environment, and save Mother Nature "She needs my help, she needs your help… She needs our help… SAVE OUR DEAR PLANET EARTH!!!" |

BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so right in this and sadly it comes at a time when one of our most treasured and purest islands is at risk of being destroyed. I applaud your bringing this to us and I am sending it to the top so that it may have a chance to be viewed by others. Well done and wonderfully expressed. |

Mistletoe Angel Your words are so true in your writing, and deserves more than just a responce. It deserves a standing ovation. (Applause) Scientists are worried about finding life outside of Earth ,, when they should be worried about trying to save the life that is already here. Amature2 |

Mark: Yes, it is terrible. I heard about the oil spill off shore of Galapagos, that is so sad. When I speak of this message, I not only refer to all those wonderful islands, but this whole world also. Thank you for your wonderful comment! Snow: Thank you for your wonderful comment! I much enjoyed it! Amateur2: I couldn't agree with you more! Scientists should be looking at saving this beautiful planet rather than risking everything on another planet hundreds of millions of miles away. So ridiculous! Thank you for that wonderful point! ALL OF YOU: May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
