Clock Chimes Virginia Salter clock chimes day’s begun heavenward greets the sun morning kissed with autumn’s dew as I sit here thinking, You are much too far, too far away for me to greet this brand new day in a manner of pleasing smiles until we meet our reconcile what might I say what might I do to heal the hurt I’ve piled on you and what will be your recompense to end the pain break down the fence soothe our souls align our goals a promise, a kiss a hit, a miss © September 22, 2000 |

As I note dates of your poetry when first written, I imagine you going through your volumes, picking, choosing, dismissing one over another... so I'm very glad you shared this! |
