Italian Sonnet < !signature-->Do you feel the Latin waves of passion? Beneath the drums of the moon tonight Come make love in fiery moonlight Swaying in the lambada of the ocean Our rhythm blends in flaunting fashion As we soar like a butterfly kite Smoldering flames of our wings incite Two Monarchs upon the seas reflection We flutter to our Brazilian samba A Mardi gras of passionate love We tremble to our dance of the rumba Your arms hold tightly like a glove We dance in white feathers, exotic salsa Masquerading as two white doves A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) [This message has been edited by Victoria (edited 01-24-2001).] |

Wow! What a way with words you have! This captivated me from beginning to end, and then I just had to read it again. This was so full of amazing imagery, and you chose a great theme, what a dance! Take care, Melissa The beauty of poetry gives my soul wings to fly free within dreams |
