California nights lead to California days I sink past dreams of endless thoughts As I pack my bag to see the place that calls me Calls me to it like home California The bright lights The glitz and glamour behind it all I search to be something more there To leave this hell hole behind "On the Road Again" plays over and over again in my head Will I return to this place of greed and sorrow Or will I have a new place to rest my head Only time will tell where I will be California Finally to see the sunset over the ocean Long nights at the bridge of golden dreams What am I looking for A bit of me A sign of love Some hope for the future Time to set the past in a bag and throw it in the ocean Traveling onward Money in hand Heart on a sleeve I pack my bag While looking up at the sun California I will be there soon My own little piece of heaven Stored away for years Always crying out when is my turn Now it is here Why am I so nervous Why am I so scaried I feel the winds of change blow over my soul and send me on my way Off I go Tomarrow is another day as they say California Love, Lady Live in my world just once and you'll find yourself enraptured. |

Wow fantastic poem, You've really got loads of beuty and flow in this poem, I could read it over and over, just to read that last line 'Tommorow is another day as they say, Calafornia' . Loved it .
