Doreen’s Braids

Some call them pigtails, some say plaits
But they are basically the same
Except the braids Doreen creates
And gives them such exotic names

They are in convoluted phrase
A twisted , rare, poetic line
Combed with daring words and ways
And braided with exotic mind

At times her thoughts run rather deep
It’s hard to get the gist of it
And that’s what makes her poem complete
Enticing mind into Poe’s pit

And she does challenge heart and mind
With brilliance, wisdom, grace and style
Poetic genius you will find
That makes you ponder til you smile

So keep on braiding, poet girl
Those twisting turning lovely lines
And let the passion pages swirl
With any pigtail you define

Liz, this is a beautiful description of Doreen's beautiful poetry. Let's all hope that you both contenue to grace us with your "braids".
