The Beauty You Are The sparkle of a morning dew An orange colored sky The fresh bouquet of daffodils And clouds that float on high. The brown and gold of autumn leaves Small children fast at play A sip of steaming English tea And mothers knelt to pray. The brilliance of a summer sun A freshly painted fence A book to read on rainy days And blushing innocence. A cozy couch to laze upon A present from your love Hot peanuts roasted in the shell And cooing morning doves. A simple song of sweet romance A pleasant memory A work of art to gaze upon And mist upon the sea. A bed of freshly fallen snow A touching serenade A sonnet filled with special thoughts And holiday parades. That each and every one of these Is beautiful 'tis true But none approach the unmatched grace And beauty born in you. |

(sigh) Oh, this is so romantic, it made me cry! Oh, your love for her shines like the heavens in here, all so pure and true! She is very lucky to share a beautiful heart such as yours! Thank you for sharing, my friend! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

David2~ How refreshingly unique to see the ways in which you compare the love of the beauty in your life. I was particularly fond of this - 'A freshly painted fence' Now that I can relate to. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

'A simple song of sweet romance A pleasant memory A work of art to gaze upon And mist upon the sea' This is great, David! Such beautiful things you've compared your love to. Love this! sp I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't breathe until you're resting here with me... |

Oh, David, this is just beautiful! *sighs* The rhyme, the sentiment and the flow is perfect! You have some unique lines in this. It is my favourite poem of yours now, in fact, I'm printing out a copy! I hope she knows how lucky she is to have found you. Take care, Melissa The beauty of poetry gives my soul wings to fly free within dreams |
