Would you like to dance...maybe to something soft and slow Hold me so tight and never let go? Would you like to see the stars through these loving eyes Take walks on the beach in the warmth of a sunrise? Would you like to enjoy your woman at play Hear my laughter, see my smile all through your day? Then tell me you love me with all that you are Keep me beside you...no need to roam far I'll give you a heart thats gentle and true One that beats every beat just for you I'll wake beside you with a kiss to greet the sun And love you to sleep when our day is done So cherish this heart I place in your hands Im not asking for roses or gold wedding bands All I want is for you to have faith and believe I'm tired of crying I dont want to grieve I have so much to offer so much love to give I want out of this darkness Im ready to live So give me your love or step out of my way I'm ready to fly to make this my day Like a Phoenix I'm rising up to new heights My spirit will soar like bright spring kites Rising rising on wings forged in the fires Of pain and heartache and loves sweet desires So again I tell you and I hope you can hear Dont stand in my way stand beside me without fear Be willing to say to the world that we see This is my love, and her loves just for me Be proud of my heart wear it with pride Love me in sunlight with nothing to hide I'm rising I'm rising fly with me fly high My loves worth that chance if you're willing to try Like the Phoenix I've risen rise with me or go No halfhearted flights its all or nothing you know Im risen Im flying Im free |
