Afterglow Of Candlelight

Light a candle a thousand times
write, and rewrite
till burning sonnets rise like a flame
and a rhapsody is felt
watching the hot wax melt
it matters none
if empty pens multiply
and papers stack high
as long as mountains tremble in the distance
waking stars that twinkle in the night
and raindrops echo in the valley
a verse may flow
somewhere in the afterglow

"....a verse may flow..." My that touches the soul of the poet. This is one with which we all can identify. Thank you.
