With mesmerizing fluid gestures the undressed man conducts symphonies in the park - his baton donated by a nearby Willow; hardened, dirty feet tapping an insane beat. Doves perched above coo warnings, as he imitates a couple performing tai chi, the sun just coming up, cherry blossoms fall in snow drifts he chases them, tongue extended; a woman jogs by in a pink parachute suit, they all pretend not to notice the nakid man. He picks at imaginary threads from tightly woven fabric of mauve and gold silk rustling, his fragrance not so sweet on this warm day; now tired, he nestles with yesterday’s news and settles in for a long nap. © ’01 Corinne Bailey [This message has been edited by Corinne (edited 03-23-2001).] |

Having lived mostly in large cities, beside the eccentricities of life...I understand and appreciate this much. And your respect for even this man does not go uncommunicated. Very good read. |

Corinne, Very observant. And, as already suggested, unusually kind. Bob |

He must be the emperor of the park. Don't tell him he has no cloths. In adult you might have went in another direction with the baton imitation. Park |
