There's an old black and white photograph that he keeps on the stand by his bed, the bed where they use to sleep. The picture is kind of faded and the edges slightly torn, but he can still see it as though it were just the day before. He remembers it so clearly. The whole scene he can recall and though he loves that photograph, it wasn't black and white at all.... The sun glistened off her golden hair as she danced in fields of green. And that purple dress she loved to wear was the prettiest he'd seen. He loved the way those rosy lips smiled just for him. He still recalls those big brown eyes and how he'd get lost in them. Those summer skies were baby blue. Wild flowers were everywhere. The lilac trees were in full bloom and their fragrance filled the air.... So, though he loves that photograph and stares at it each day. The picture is still and black and white and he remembers it another way. |
