Snnnniiiffff
Virginia Salter

snnnniiiffff, ah, sweet hyacinths
‘neath a labyrinth
of textures in the vines
me wishing you were mine
so to walk our arm in arm
not filling with alarm
as we woo each other’s charm
in the wafting breeze of spring
where the dancing robins sing
and the cherry blossoms pink
lead all hearts toward the brink
of falling as a dove
to the summer winds of love
and then carried fast away
where the backyard swing’s asway
as sweet lover’s hearts
await
for the time that is today.

My crocus and hyacinths are here, I liked this sweet reminder of them. Thank you!

I'm a fall/winter person...but this one was so good, it made me think about being a spring person...thinking that is...*L*
