The gate stands ajar Barely a glimpse do I see What a wonderful feast for my eyes awaits me As I slowly start to push my way through the gate What a glorious sight beholds me - I can hardly wait! Along the pathway I see Baby blue forget-me-nots smiling at me The sun's rays begin to awaken The moonflower from its dreams Another day is here Filled with beauty surrounding me Violets and pansies with faces that beam As they're drawn to the sun Across their faces it streams The wisteria so heavenly With its sweet, lovely scent Colors of lavender and blue Flowers arching on stems so fragrant There's a statue of a cherub squatting down on the ground Surrounded by rose blooms Petals scattered all around A grecian goddess is surrounded By maiden hair fern at her feet As she glances across the bridal veil With it's small white flowers - so sweet A cupid stands guard Watching the sparrows on the lawn Who come here for food For their babies just born So much activity I see In my garden before me Bees busy moving around the plant near my feet Collecting its nectar - oh, so sweet A place to enjoy - to be totally swept away Everytime that I come here To watch nature's finest display Always something new and lovely There is to behold This garden is so precious It's worth more to me than gold Suetang |

Sue..you truly are the goddess of the gardens. Your garden, though virtual to me, brings comfort and there is lavendar in the air and a smile in my heart. Kate Be blessed always Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood. |
