As I walk along the sand
And look out to the sea
I'm wondering all the while
If you're looking down on me

The sorrow hasn't gone
And probably never will
As the tide starts to recede
And the water is still

I only now have memories
Of the precious times we shared
That will stay with me forever
Until once again we're paired

My very special Dad
Save a place for me
Underneath the birch tree
Where we'd want to be

In loving memory of the kindest, most gentlest man I have ever known....my father, who was so dearly loved and so tragically taken from me in May 1999
