Life Has Begun Virginia Salter first day of spring has taken wing old Sol is daring with each ray yes, you, oh, slacker I challenge you come away from cyber view lift up the blinds throw open sash lift up your heart; take out the trash scrub windows bright let in the light dance the rite of spring tonight pirouette in shining gleam as beams flow through in wondrous streams awaken all within a renewed life to spin with silken threads both strong and tender a sweetened hour to gently render allow new rhythms take their hold in confidence go forward, bold shrink not again into the shadows but with new life bud as the willows for spring is here for all, dear one break forth with power, life has begun! © March 20, 2001 |
