I'm powerless to change my heart I'm powerless to make a new start I have no strength to make it through the day I'm powerless I'm powerless since you went away I'm powerless to stop the hurt So, I'll just lay here still, inert I'm waiting, simply waiting for your swift return I'm powerless to live, maybe powerless to learn I'm powerless with you, when you're near I'm powerless to stop the hurt when you disappear I'm caught between the devil and the deep blue sea I'm powerless, I'm powerless to effect a change in me. Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen. |

I've been feeling this same way for about a year now--but I'm noticing a gradual shift of consciousness--sometimes power begins just be accepting the concept of powerlessness. HUGS Keth. I sure hope that made sense. |

Hi Kethry: I can surely identify with this one. You've really hit the nail on the head for me. Shawn "You can't reason with your heart; it has it's own laws and thumps about things which the intellect scorns." |

You've beautifully penned words that so many of us can identify with... well done! |

Thanks everyone, this poem is mostly a reflection of discussions held, between my nature and my spirit. Be well Kethry Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen. |
