Brightly shine, upon her face, Warming smile, she stands in place; Eyes closing, Imagining, Thoughts that fly, remembering, The sunshine, bouncing off the windows, Warm spreading, push back shadows. He’s hiding, Darkness now recedes away, Gone the night, Comes the light, Feel the piercing of the day, Beaten back, Comfort black, Inside behind dark windows, Make soundless, Friend darkness, Settle into realm of shadows, He’s hiding, Never meeting child of day. Professor, I've returned to this poem several times this evening, not knowing ~ perhaps not trusting ~ whether my instincts are correct about its message. It seems at once, and on a very basic level, to be a study of two very differently motivated characters. Upon closer examination, however, I wonder if these two reside within the same physical being. Just mental meanderings on my part, but I must say I find much intrigue here, as in everything of yours I have had the opportunity to read. Thanks very much for this one. Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Oh Claire, it is the thought [to me] of both sides of the brain, when one talks to one, of the good and bad in one's soul, and all of the nuances inbetween.... IMHO.... |
