Some say the moon's an angel on wings of tattered clouds. Some say she's just a speck of dust within a blackened shroud. Some say the moon's a jewel for lovers in the night. Some say she's just a cursed wench, A lunatic's delight. To some she is a beacon that helps them find their love. To some she's just a spying glass for aliens from above. And some think of her as a friend who warms their lonely souls. And others on a cold dank night blame her for all their woes. But while I watch her closely as she sails across the sky, the moon's the glow I long to see within your loving eyes. "HEY, DON'T THROW THAT AWAY, I MIGHT NEED IT SOMEDAY!!!" Packratmike |

Mike, this IS a beauty! I see the moon as all these things, but your summation defined the longing I feel perfectly. |

Beautiful...you make me see the moon in different ways now! ...I guess the moon means different things to different people depending on the person and situation...nicely described. Jellybean King |

Beautiful, yes, beautiful. Yet, in reality the moon does not shine but reflects. In my thinking, for you it reflects brilliant, exciting light that illumines a wonderful love. Enjoyed your poem! |
