Mother Theresa
Virginia Salter

life etched as rivulets
on every feature of her face
tender hands extended
full of love, full of grace

clad ever so humbly
covered head to toe
yet kneeling down to rescue
the weakest, wanton soul

without consideration
of self or magnanimity
blindly courageous
in His will she made her plea

a mother with a heart
larger than her tiny frame
kindled lives and hope
in the light of His awesome flame

passing from her birth
into a life of wondrous giving
a new birth was her true fate
to be His servant ever living

into eternity she went
surely with a crown everlasting
for service to the will of God
ever faithfully a blessing

Nice tribute, Virginia, and I love the way you started it out . . . the picture came into view.
(and she was an amazing fellow human)

A most beautiful tribute to a woman who gave a whole lot more than she ever got. In doing this she taught mankind that it is indeed better to give than receive. She was an angel who walked this earth not near long enough. Thank you for your kind thoughts on this great woman. Kate

Well you picked my favorite person in history VAS...she said the most profound thing..."If we worry too much about ourselves, we won't have time for others." and I remember that every morning when I wake. Well done! Good luck with your challenge, nice dedication to someone who truly did make a difference!
