A Life Time Of Choices The choices I have made and The dreams I have dreamed May not all have come true But I am glad I had them Life is as a carousel of horses Each dream has its own beauty Never changing from being A dream even if not fulfilled Where is it written our Choices or dreams have to Reach perfection can anyone Say what that really is or not? If my choices caused Human suffering I am sorry To take the chance is human Hopefully I learned from them If I made choices earning Merit I am pleased, for choices made Falling in grace I’m still pleased Having courage to make them We only have so many directions To go but twice as many choices To make may we have wisdom and Long-suffering making right ones By, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) [This message has been edited by Cerenity (edited 03-15-2001).] |

this is so true.......I try to teach my kids that.....the choices you make will affect what happens to you in life........choose wisely, carefully, thougtfully, and with eyes open to all the possibilites----- good and bad. I like this a lot SEA |

Yes a lifetime of choices and decisions to make over those choices...very well written! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

We only have so many directions To go but twice as many choices To make may we have wisdom and Long-suffering making right ones I love this, not just those lines, but the entire message!! You might want to change a couple of these words here: May not all of come true (change to have) A dream even if not for-filled (change to fulfilled) This poem really pointed some things out that I haven't really taken the time to ponder on. I'm glad it made me stop and think. <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. I don't question YOUR existance - GOD |
