~*~ On The Other Side Of Loneliness ~*~ On the other side of loneliness, There's a safe haven just for me. And whenever I am feeling lonely, I find myself walking down by the sea. As I walk along the path beneath, The branches swaying in the breeze, The song of the whistling wind, Somehow always brings me peace. It whispers out my name so softly, Then seems to echo off a cloud, The sea spray embraces me in love, In my own familiar, misty shroud. Above me, an opal luminous velvet sky, Moonlit and sprinkled with a tiara of stars. Effervescent air whispering a gentle song, While the wind whistles like a 1,000 guitars. Moonbeams dance amongst the clouds, And there is a kaleidoscope of color, Suddenly the silence becomes deafening, And I just sit here lonely hour after hour. On the other side of loneliness, There is peace and serenity just for me, As I allow myself to open up my heart, And just become one with the sea. ~*~ Mysteria ~*~ © Copyright 2001 All Rights Reserved Graphics by LindysGraphics ~*~A poet is someone who reads more than they write ~*~ |

Mysteria, this was absolutely beautiful. You know how I love the oceans and rivers, there is no greater source of peace and tranquility to surround the spirit and soothe the soul. I don't have time to visit my lovely river bank on my lunch break...but this awesome presentation just brought me to that level of serenity. Standing ovations and bravo's! Smiles to you, Sweet Lady, Martha |

You are never alone when the marvels of nature are all around, and you paint this picture very vividly with great emotion. I enjoyed reading. Thank you. Regards, Olias. |

You know I love the smell of the sea, and this reminds me of it, so vivid. Thanks for sharing Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

Hey...your picture is lovely, now I know what you like! I loved this description of finding solitude and peace by the sea...terrific description of the sky too. I found the timing of your posting so interesting (is this something you just wrote?), because I just wrote a poem yesterday on the same theme called "Sea Shore". Thanks for the soothing read! Hi everyone sorry been busy! Sea ~ I live within walking distance to the shoreline and it is my favorite walk, thanks for reading. Marth ~ You are too kind as usual. Jellybeanking ~ Yes, love the ocean, solitute, and above all else the sea when it is violent! Thanks for reading and commenting and yes, I wrote it that day while sitting on a rock by the ocean! I shall read yours now Moondust ~ Lots of fish in the Pacific Ocean and seals where I go sit, so sometimes "the smell" leaves something to be desired! Thank you for reading. Olias ~ I am glad you liked my painting I shall now look for your "art" gallery. ~*~A poet is someone who reads more than they write ~*~ |
