It is the centre of the field cowering from the sky, hanging head down lowly watching blossoms try; Then sun glistens stinging each side of the eye. Raising of the eyebrows not to far away. Greens, yellows & oranges in pastel clear display; Kind relief from the torturous light, cover brings expanded sight. Mud & leaves & sticks abound, always a path can be found; Tree scent envelopes pathway air, composting soil the ground around is surely strongest there. The plants, the branches, children of trees, brushing touching skin on knees; Residue light left on the flesh slowly within evolves to mesh;:} |

craig? It just so happens I have a thing for trees..as a matter of fact, there will be a short article on trees in the next Passions newsletter! Wish I'd seen this a week ago! And I love the smell of trees--especially pine! |

thecraig--This is a wonderful walk into nature through your eyes...I write of sticks and things myself and can relate well to the inspiration that nature provides. I haven't read any of your poetry before, so let me say now, welcome to Passions. |

The imagery here is wonderful...I was transported to an autumn day...the scent of the trees, the Earth..branches cracking as I walk..the sound of children playing underneath a green conopy of leaves. Very enjoyable and well executed! Jellybean King |

great write Craig...the scent is captured in the words...good show...Welcome to Passions ! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

Ah, very nice job. A pleasant topic. Trees are nice. ~Allan If I had your eyes, I'd be blind. For I can only see out of my own. ~~Carly Van Dort |
