Hmm I wrote this back in December, didnt get round to posting it for some reason, anyway hope you enjoy.

twisted

you stand there
head aflame, with green
flowing through your veins
your body, a brick wall
with eyes of white
blinded.

I won't accept
the silence of me, nor
will I surrender to wicked
tendrils of Eden that
grow over and around me,
where peace is twisted
and muted tongues hang
collapsed,
like thirsty dogs on a hot day.

unripe, unseasoned
I am but food for your mind
a fruit waiting to be released,
to ripen, and only then,
will I let go.

I may know the word but not say it
I may know the truth but not face it
I may hear a sound a whisper sacred and profound
but turn my head indifferent.

"Where peace is twisted"

Oh that is one of those "Wish I had written that"

Very forceful poem, words ragged edged, no purposefully serrated, I think better describes this.

My compliments

Maree--You words are very powerful...your descriptions are great..."green flowing through veins", "wicked tendrils of edan", you have done such a good job saying I'm angry without actually saying it. Your poem also shows strength Maree, in not eccepting this evil, what ever it is...I'm glad.

Young lady, this is fabulous. A great offering from your brief lack of muse!!!!
Love it.
