Afternoon Respite
Virginia Salter

haze clings to high rises
filled to the brim
busyness, mercantilism
straight, bony fingers
erect
towering over Lake Union
sunlight bounces from mobile bubbles
going to, fro, fore and aft
as white triangles gee and haw
across the pond
and I
mesmerized in my peace
solitude

Nice descriptive phrasing here, Virginia.

It's nice to sit back and watch sometimes ... a tranquil open mind ... chewing on a blade of grass ... waiting ... for anything

nice writing
